Be it a first time director's dream project or a seasoned director, I love the challenge of securing the right talent for a project. and bringing that vision to life. Unlike most Casting Directors I have the experience of working for actors and agents and I have written and produced films, which helps me to know how to pitch a project to agents, actors and sales companies. These days knowing the value of your cast can determine whether you will be successful securing the financing. Also thinking outside of the box, in terms of casting foreign actors, if the project lends itself to European, Canadian, Australian or Indian financing. If a producer hires me to cast their movie they can be certain I will research the value of their cast in the market place, find out the actor's sweet spot and help to negotiate their deal. Now that the majority of film financing is coming out of Europe and Asia, I will also maximize your exposure by helping to identify cast, who can trigger government subsidies, product placement and distribution deals.
